Flat Earth

I think the Flat Earth has a fairly good thing going..
A healthier way to snack and eat chips. Makes sense.

I understand the whole slogan.."when pigs fly" and that it is a saying when you are trying to say something is impossible or can't be done, you would say "when pigs fly" and they are trying to say that they have done the impossible by creating these chips..To me it's still a little off somehow.

I dont really know who they are trying to target either. It would seem as if it would be a health conscious vegetarian maybe..and then they have the pig flying. Which in a way seems to make since. Vegetarian=Animal Lover. But I am still not too convinced.

Overall, I think that I would try the chips just to see how they taste. So I don't think they could target young college students any differently. But at the same time it's still sort of up in the air..I guess with those flying pigs... =)

Super Bowl Commercials

My TOP 5 Superbowl Commercials

#5 Would have to be the Bud Light commercial where you see a couple coming to a wine and cheese party. The man comes in with a huge thing of cheese on a plate. He heads into the kitchen and all the boyfriends are in there. The one guys says thats some nice cheese and then the other guy reveals that there is bud light underneath. Then all the guys reveal they have brought beer and even a small TV to watch football. It's very funny. Bud Light always does a really targeting men in there ads.

#4 Would be the FedEx commercial where they have the carrier pigeons delievering mail and packages. But then the guys ask what about larger packages, he proceeds to be shown the HUGE carrier pigeon that is destroying everything. Then he says ok lets switch to FedEx. It is just a funny commercial, typical of a superbowl commercial, that makes you laugh and remember the brand..FedEx

#3 Is the Charles Barkley and Dwayne Wade T-Mobile commercial. Charles or Chuck as Dwayne calls him just added Dwayne into his Fav 5 so he wont stop calling and talking t Dwayne. Once again another funny commercial that makes you laugh and remember the brand..T-Mobile

#2 Is one of my favorites. It's the diet Pepsi Max commercial with all the celebs and people who are nodding off and then they all drink a Pepsi Max and everyone starts bobbing their heads. Its hilarious.

Dun Dun Dun... and #1 is.....Drum ROLL

Justin Timberlake in the Pepsi commercial. This commercial is so cute. This commercial targeted its market very good. Pepsi's whole thing is the "New Generation" since Coke is going with classic.. So by taking a icon like JT and putting him in their commercial is genius. And he is not just in the commercial but you can actually win tickets to see him if you drink Pepsi. Great strategy if you ask me. Wonderful commercial..My Fav!!

Message Appeal

Message Appeal

What are my favorite commercials..normally the funny ones. There are plenty of commercials that I like from the ones that are funny and seem almost pointless to the ones that are funny but still portray a message underneath. For instance the cigarette commercials. The ones that have people singing in the streets Broadway style. They are funny to watch and catchy to sing a long to but you remember the message no matter how hard you try to. "If you smoke you might lose your life, if you don't you might lose your life" Kind of harsh but it gets the message across through humor and it captures the minds of young and old people to realize the sincerity of the message.

Another commercial that I like is the new commercial with Lebron James and Nicole from the Pussy Cat Dolls. The commercial is selling Lebron's shoes by Nike. In the commercial he is romancing Nicole with his shoes. The commercial is absolutely hilarious. Basically the message is that girls can where his shoes too. Here is a link to the commercial..

Now I have never really had commercials that I just didn't like but I have had commercials that I didn't really understand the message. Like the skittles commercial with the old man that when he touches something it turns to skittles. I just felt as if that commercial made no sense and had no message. It's sort of humorous but has nothing to do with skittles and why you should buy skittles.
